How to Make The Best Story With Story Spark
Create Your Characters with Spark Assistant
The character is arguably the most important part of the story! At Story Spark we have a massive Character World where you can pick up to 4 characters to join you in any story.
But creating your own characters is even more special with our Spark Assistant, and you can easily create and manage them directly from your profile. We have two features for character creation at Story Spark:
Create Your Own Character
Tell us your character's name and description, and Spark Assistant will do the rest.
Image Upload
Provide an image of someone or something you want to turn into a character, and Spark Assistant will transform it for you. You can even give instructions for any changes you want to make to the image.
Choose Your Styles
Once your characters are ready, you can move into the story setup. We have a few different options:
Select the Illustration
We have a wide range of illustration styles. Pixar is the most popular, but why not try our Cartoon, Lego, Pop Art, or Vintage styles? They are all fun to explore.
Write Your Story
This is the easiest part of all! Write in the subject box what you want your characters to do in the story. Remember to use the same names as your characters and keep the subject short! Our story generator works best when it has creative freedom. Don't worry if you miss a few details; you can always change things after the story is created.
Choose the Number of Pages
Our standard format is a 20-page short storybook with text and illustrations, but you can add more pages to get exactly what you want.
Pick your style
Choose a story style that sets the tone for your book, whether you prefer something simple and easy to follow, a more classic and traditional narrative, a playful and imaginative approach, or a rhythmic, rhyming style that makes the story more engaging and memorable.
Create Your Story
Once everything is set, simply click the Create button and let Story Spark do the rest. Your story will be generated in moments, ready for you to edit, personalize, and bring to life.

The creativity doesn’t end here! Now you need to perfect your story book and share with the world!
Edit Your Story
When your story is ready, you might want to change parts of the story or the images. This is super easy to do in the Storybook Editor. You can edit text, adjust colours, fonts, and layout, and change or regenerate images to better match your vision. With full control over every detail, you can shape your story exactly the way you want.
Animate & Add Audio to Your Story
Now this is really cool! Click on the video icon on the images in your story to turn it into an animation to watch. If your story has audio then in narration mode these animations will play throughout your story! Check out some Animated Stories people have shared!
Share Your Story
When it's ready make sure to share your story with the world! We have a Storyteller Community Library where people from around the world can read your story. Make sure to customize your profile by editing your username, profile picture and description!
