How to Make The Best Story With Story Spark
Choose Your Character
The character is arguably the most important part of the story! At Story Spark we have a massive Character World where you can pick up to 4 characters to join you in any story.
But making your own characters is even more special. We have two features for character creation at Story Spark:
Create Your Own Character
Tell us the name and description of your character and let us do the rest!
Image Upload
Provide an image of someone or an object you want to turn into a character and we will transform them for you! You can even give instructions on any changes you want to make to the image.
Choose Your Styles
This is where you set the base for your story. We have a few different options:
Select the Style
Our Story Books option will create an illustrated book for you. Our Educational Story option focuses on learning outcomes with a quiz and suggested activity attached to the story. Our Decodable Story option focuses on phonetics to help children with literacy development.
Select the Text
We have a range of text styles that grow in length, creativity and complexity, depending on your wishes and requirements. We also have two rhyme styles. ‘Rhyme’ follows the more traditional rhyming patterns, whilst ‘Whimsical Rhyme’ is more fun/child-like, similar in style to Dr. Suess.
Select the Illustration
We have a large range of illustration styles. Cartoon is the most popular but why not try our Claymation, Vintage Cartoon or Pixar styles? They are all awesome and fun to play with.
Add Audio
Narrated stories are the best! We offer two types of narration. We have amazing voices that you can add to any story. Or why not clone your voice or that of a loved one or friend. You can then add this special voice narration to any story and it's like they are in the room with you!
Choose number of pages
Our standard is a 14 page short story book with text and illustrations. But you can add more to get exactly what you want!
Write Your Storyline
This is the easiest part of all! Write in the subject box what you want your characters to do in the story! Remember to use the same names as your characters and keep the subject short! Our story generator works best when it has maximum creative control. Don’t worry about missing some details - you can always change things after the story is created!
Perfect Your Story
The creativity doesn’t end here! Now you need to perfect your story book and share with the world!
Edit Your Story
When your story is ready you might want to change elements of the story or the images. This is super easy to do! Just click on edit mode and change anything you want from the text, font, colour, sizing, bolding or italics. You can also recreate images and change the prompt to get exactly what you want. Our prompt is broken down by image style, characters and scene.
Animate Your Story
Now this is really cool! Click on the video icon on the images in your story to turn it into an animation to watch. If your story has audio then in narration mode these animations will play throughout your story! Check out some Animated Stories people have shared!
Share Your Story
When it's ready make sure to share your story with the world! We have a Storyteller Community Library where people from around the world can read your story. Make sure to customize your profile by editing your username, profile picture and description!
